Haynes Whaley Associates has been active in the Austin area since the late 1970s, providing structural engineering services for a wide range of project types. We opened our Austin office in 2000. Projects include the Horseshoe Bay Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, GSD&M Idea City, National Instruments, Dell Computer Facilities, The Arboretum office/retail complex, Texas Medical Association Headquarters, and more than 125 industrial facilities for Trammell Crow. |

Robert currently manages all the day to day operations of the company in its three offices. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 at which time he joined Haynes Whaley Associates. Until 2008 Robert served as an Executive Vice President and headed one of its production groups in the Houston Office. Robert was instrumental in opening the firm’s Austin office in 2000, and later headed up its efforts in founding Structures + Haynes Whaley, a Historically Underutilized Business ( HUB ) certified by the State of Texas which was founded to provide a highly qualified minority firm for public and institutional projects. |

Mark joined Haynes Whaley Associates in 1989 and has served as the
manager of the firm's Austin office since 2000. He received his
Master of Science in Engineering in 1989 and Bachelor of Science in
Architectural Engineering in 1987 from The University of Texas at
Austin. He has 15 years of experience in the planning and design of
building structural systems. Mark works with a group of engineers and
drafting staff that work together continuously to assure high-quality
design on each project produced. Mark is a LEED (Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, a program
developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. |
